Support the Simpson Literary Project

Once upon a time, do you remember when you first read a story that moved you? Remember when you fell in love with an author's work? Remember when you had a teacher who opened up the world of language and literature? Remember that now, and please consider supporting the Simpson Literary Project.

When you give to the Simpson Literary Project, you build the foundation of a literate, democratic society. Your gift supports:

  • Simpson Fellows from the UCB English Department, the leading English Department in the country, to teach creative writing to underserved young people.

  • Free writing-workshops at Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall, Girls Inc. Alameda County, and Northgate High School.

  • The writing of great books by our Simpson/Joyce Carol Oates Prize Winners and Finalists.

Two easy ways to give:

  1. Online

  2. Send a check

All for now, and all best wishes,

Diane and Joe
